Creating Space: Letting Go & Letting In — FREE healing arts workshop exploring grief, hope and change, beginnings and endings

  • 4421 24th St. Sacramento, CA United States (map)

To mark the closing of the year as well as the opening of our new studio space, we are offering this one-time workshop centered around the theme of ‘Letting Go & Letting In.’ What does ‘letting go’ actually mean to us? Why does it feel so hard? Can we learn to release something while continuing to honor it? Continuing to feel connected to it? How might letting go with love and intention create space for new possibilities? Maybe even hope? What might bubble up through the cracks in our heart once we have the space to let it in?

This two hour workshop will include the building of a community altar, a grounding exercise and guided meditation, sharing stories and of course, art making. You’ll choose from a wide range of materials (acrylic paint, watercolor, collage, pastel, clay, wood, tissue paper, beads, found objects + more) to create a piece which you’ll take home at the end of our session. All materials are include and and no arts experience is required!

Space is limited so register today to secure your spot! Must be 18+ years old to attend. Participants will be asked to bring something from home to contribute to our community altar. More details to be shared upon registration.

** We are offering this event for FREE to celebrate Of The Rust Studios’ grand opening, but donations of any amount are always appreciated. Donations can be made on the day of the event via Venmo, PayPal, cash or Zelle **
